Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Houston is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I decided to try this bakery after someone highly recommended it, and I drove about an hour to get there. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. The cake was a little too dry, and while the strawberry flavor was okay, it wasn’t anything special. For the price, I expected a little more in terms of flavor and quality. That said, the lady who attended me was super nice and friendly, and the customer service was great. I’m glad I gave it a try, but considering the long drive and the overall experience, I probably wouldn’t make the trip again. If your like coffee, There coffee was delicious!!

Wow… such a beautiful shop inside and well curated. Not only are all of the items delicious but they are beautiful. We first tried the Uncle Darryl cake, not sure who this uncle Darryl but id like to shake his hand! Wow… must be a gem because this cake is decadent, rich and pleasing beyond sight. A week later we had the pleasure of tasting the Any Days A Holiday cake, and I thought we had hit the mother load of flavor. The contrast of the vanilla and chocolate cake made us feel as if we were dining with Marie Antionette. We also tried the chocolate popcorn- delish Buttercups- wow S’mores square- get out of town. Stations I don’t think you can go wrong with anything in this shop if you’re looking for something fresh that will abso-slap….for sweet toothed folks. And I almost forgot! Not only do they make delectable treats but they provide you with biodegradable to go forks!

The place was nice and had a great vibe and great staff! The flavor of everything was really good but for our liking it was way overly sweet unfortunately. If that doesn't bother you then definitely check it out! Tons of options and a nice, quality place! Due to solely the oversweetness of everything id have to go with a 7.1/10

Came here for a little dessert stop with my wife and absolutely loved the place. First of all, the staff was incredible. They greeted us right away and asked if it was our first time there. They explained their selection and offered ice cream sample a if we wanted. We were impressed with their selection: from truffles, to cakes, cheesecakes, ice creams, chocolates, and coffee. Anything your sweet tooth desires. We ended up ordering a slice of their Oreo Cheesecake and my wife got a plain coffee. The cheesecake was simply delicious! It was soft and creamy and not overtly sour. The chocolate top was very velvety and smooth. We LOVED IT! We’re definitely coming back soon for more!

The history of The Chocolate Bar is as rich as the experience it self. The sweet and charming woman at the counter poured an excellent glass of wine that was rich in flavor. Not your cheap flavored wine porter either. Good quality. The ice cream was my other goal to try, and the double espresso ice cream is a MUST TRY. It is excellent mouth texture and pairs well with the wine. Too well in fact. An addictive combo. I also topped the snow berry ice cream to the double espresso. It’s a solid choice if you are looking for a strong winter seasonal concept and enjoy a lighter taste than the dark notes of other choices. That said if you enjoy a chocolate experience come here to enrich yourself in that world. The espresso items are pulled from actual espresso machines. If you like the chocolate and coffee. Try this place. Personally when I was a child this place was home to some wild concepts. Now the place has truly evolved into high quality chocolate experiences and products. Alongside that a staff that is seemingly capable of guiding you through your tenure chocolate education. 5/5 a Houston must try.
